Text keyword opt-in

Optional alternative opt-in method a utility can support.

  • Customer texts START or YES to the toll-free number to subscribe.
  • System replies: "You are subscribed to utility notifications. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help."

Help and opt-out behavior

  • STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE immediately opt the user out and confirm opt-out.
  • HELP replies with support contact details and links to policies.

Tip for verification: take a screenshot showing the checkbox and disclosure text clearly, with your branding visible, then host that screenshot at a public URL and paste the URL into the Opt-In workflow image URL field.

After opting in via keyword, you will receive a confirmation message: "You are subscribed to utility notifications. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help."
